This Volunteer Registration, Waiver, Release, Consent, and Acknowledgment Agreement ("Agreement") applies to all individuals who register to volunteer with I Love Sai, Inc. ("I Love Sai," "Organization," "we," "us," or "our"), whether volunteering in person, online, remotely, at events, during service activities, or in any other approved capacity.

By selecting "Yes, I acknowledge and agree" in the online volunteer registration form, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this Agreement.

1. Volunteer Information
Your legal name, email, phone, address, date of birth, emergency contact, and the state where you'll primarily volunteer are collected in the form fields below, as part of this registration.

2. Volunteer Status
I understand that I am volunteering freely and without compensation. I am not an employee, contractor, partner, agent, or legal representative of I Love Sai unless separately authorized in writing.
I understand that I Love Sai may accept, decline, limit, suspend, or end my volunteer service at any time, subject to applicable law.

3. Volunteer Acknowledgment
I agree to serve respectfully, safely, honestly, and responsibly in support of I Love Sai's charitable, spiritual, educational, community-service, food-service, cultural, outreach, fundraising, administrative, digital, youth-related, or other approved activities.
I agree to follow all reasonable instructions from I Love Sai leaders, coordinators, event organizers, facility representatives, safety personnel, and authorized designees.

4. Assumption of Risk
I understand that volunteering may involve risks, including injury, illness, accident, emotional distress, property loss, exposure to communicable diseases, food-related risks, lifting or carrying items, slips and falls, transportation risks, crowd conditions, weather conditions, use of equipment, interaction with the public, and risks caused by other people or third parties.
I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, arising from my volunteer service, except to the extent such assumption of risk is not permitted by applicable law.

5. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release, waive, discharge, and agree not to sue I Love Sai, Inc., including its directors, officers, trustees, employees, agents, volunteers, representatives, affiliates, sponsors, donors, event partners, successors, and assigns, from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from or related to my volunteer service.
This release includes claims for personal injury, illness, death, property damage, or other loss, except for claims that cannot legally be released, including claims arising from willful, wanton, reckless, grossly negligent, intentional, or unlawful conduct where such release is prohibited by law.

6. Medical Consent
If I become ill or injured while volunteering and cannot provide consent, I authorize I Love Sai representatives to seek emergency medical assistance for me if reasonably necessary.
I understand that I Love Sai does not provide medical insurance for volunteers unless expressly stated in writing. I am responsible for my own medical expenses, insurance, medications, and health needs.

7. Photo, Video, Audio, and Media Release
I authorize I Love Sai to photograph, record, film, livestream, publish, reproduce, edit, display, and distribute my name, image, likeness, voice, statements, and participation for nonprofit, charitable, educational, religious, spiritual, training, archival, promotional, fundraising, website, newsletter, and social media purposes.
I understand that I will not receive compensation for such use. I may request that I Love Sai stop future nonessential use of my image, but such request may not apply retroactively to materials already published, printed, distributed, archived, or relied upon.

8. Code of Conduct
I agree to treat all people with respect, humility, kindness, patience, dignity, and care.
I agree not to engage in harassment, discrimination, intimidation, bullying, retaliation, threats, violence, abusive language, sexual misconduct, exploitation, unsafe behavior, theft, fraud, substance abuse, or conduct that harms I Love Sai, its volunteers, guests, beneficiaries, participants, reputation, or mission.
I understand that violation of this Agreement or I Love Sai policies may result in removal from an event, suspension, termination of volunteer service, reporting to authorities, or other appropriate action.

9. Confidentiality
I may learn private, sensitive, confidential, or nonpublic information about I Love Sai, donors, volunteers, children, families, beneficiaries, guests, spiritual participants, financial matters, internal operations, safety procedures, personal information, or health information.
I agree to keep such information confidential and to use it only for authorized I Love Sai purposes. I agree not to copy, photograph, record, post, disclose, transmit, or share confidential information unless authorized by I Love Sai or required by law.
My confidentiality obligations continue after my volunteer service ends.

10. Intellectual Property
Any materials, writings, photographs, videos, designs, graphics, training content, documents, social media content, software, databases, event materials, program materials, or other work product I create or contribute to within the scope of my volunteer service for I Love Sai shall belong to I Love Sai to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I assign to I Love Sai all rights I may have in such work product. If any rights cannot be assigned, I grant I Love Sai a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, distribute, archive, and create derivative works from such materials for I Love Sai's nonprofit purposes.
I may not use I Love Sai's name, logo, photographs, materials, donor lists, volunteer lists, documents, systems, or intellectual property for personal, commercial, political, fundraising, or outside organizational purposes without written permission.

11. Data Privacy and Consent
I understand that I Love Sai may collect, use, store, and process my personal information for volunteer registration, scheduling, communication, emergency contact, safety, training, background checks, compliance, event management, youth-safety compliance, incident response, insurance, legal obligations, recordkeeping, and nonprofit operations.
Personal information may include my name, address, email, phone number, date of birth, emergency contact information, volunteer history, availability, skills, training records, signed acknowledgments, background-screening information, photographs, videos, communications, and incident reports.
I consent to I Love Sai using my personal information for legitimate nonprofit, safety, administrative, legal, and operational purposes.
I understand that I Love Sai may share my information with authorized personnel, service providers, insurers, legal advisors, auditors, background-check providers, event partners, medical providers, law enforcement, child-protection authorities, or government agencies when reasonably necessary or legally required.
I consent to receiving volunteer-related communications by email, phone, text message, messaging apps, or other electronic means.
I Love Sai will seek to protect personal information using reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information.

12. Child Safety and Vulnerable Persons
I understand that I Love Sai may serve or interact with children, youth, elderly persons, persons with disabilities, or other vulnerable individuals.
I agree to follow all child-safety, youth-protection, supervision, reporting, and boundary policies adopted by I Love Sai.
Unless expressly authorized by I Love Sai and consistent with its policies, I agree not to be alone one-on-one with a minor in a private or isolated setting, transport a minor alone, communicate privately with a minor outside approved channels, photograph or record a minor, provide personal gifts to a minor, or engage in conduct that could create an appearance of impropriety.
I agree to immediately report suspected child abuse, neglect, exploitation, unsafe conduct, boundary violations, or threats of harm to I Love Sai leadership and, where required by law, to the appropriate authorities.

13. Transportation
I may not drive on behalf of I Love Sai, transport participants, transport minors, use my personal vehicle for assigned volunteer duties, or operate any vehicle in connection with I Love Sai activities unless authorized by I Love Sai.
If authorized to drive, I confirm that I have a valid driver's license, legally required insurance, a safe driving record, and a vehicle that is properly registered, inspected, insured, and maintained.
I agree to comply with all traffic laws, seatbelt requirements, child-restraint requirements, distracted-driving laws, and I Love Sai transportation policies.
I understand that my personal automobile insurance may be primary for claims involving my vehicle.

14. Background Checks and Screening
I understand that I Love Sai may require background checks, identity verification, reference checks, criminal history checks, sex offender registry checks, child-abuse registry checks, driving-record checks, credential verification, or other screening for certain volunteer roles.
I agree to provide accurate information for screening if required. I understand that refusal to complete required screening may result in denial or limitation of volunteer service.
I agree to promptly notify I Love Sai if I am arrested, charged, convicted, investigated, restrained by court order, listed on an abuse registry, disqualified from working with children or vulnerable persons, or otherwise become aware of information that may affect my suitability to volunteer.

15. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless I Love Sai and its directors, officers, trustees, employees, agents, volunteers, representatives, affiliates, sponsors, donors, event partners, successors, and assigns from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from:
1. my misconduct, negligence, recklessness, willful conduct, or violation of law;
2. my breach of this Agreement or I Love Sai policies;
3. my unauthorized disclosure of confidential or personal information;
4. my unauthorized use of I Love Sai property, name, systems, materials, or intellectual property;
5. my transportation or driving activities, where applicable; or
6. claims brought by third parties arising from my acts or omissions.
This indemnification applies only to the extent enforceable under applicable law.

16. No Authority to Bind I Love Sai
I may not sign contracts, make purchases, incur expenses, accept donations, speak publicly, issue statements, post on official accounts, use I Love Sai branding, commit I Love Sai resources, or represent I Love Sai externally unless expressly authorized in writing.

17. Personal Property
I am responsible for my own personal belongings. I Love Sai is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property except to the extent liability cannot be waived under applicable law.

18. Governing Law and Legal Home State
I understand that I Love Sai is a New Jersey nonprofit corporation with its registered office and legal home state in New Jersey.
This Agreement is intended to be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Any dispute arising from or related to this Agreement or my volunteer service shall be handled in New Jersey, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I understand that certain state-specific laws may apply depending on where I live, where I volunteer, where an activity occurs, whether minors are involved, whether transportation is involved, whether background checks are required, or whether privacy, safety, employment, charitable immunity, or consumer-protection laws apply.
If another state's mandatory law applies to a specific issue, this Agreement shall still apply to the maximum extent permitted, and any conflicting provision shall be modified only to the minimum extent necessary to comply with applicable law.

19. State-Specific Addendum
Based on my state of residence and/or the state where I primarily volunteer, I understand that I may be required to acknowledge a State-Specific Addendum.
Any applicable State-Specific Addendum is incorporated into and made part of this Agreement.
If no separate State-Specific Addendum is provided for my state, I understand that this Agreement still applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

20. State-Specific Legal Notice
This section applies as a general state-law notice and may be supplemented by a separate state-specific addendum. It applies if I reside in, volunteer in, or participate in I Love Sai activities located in my state of residence or primary volunteer state, as provided above.
1. Certain laws of this state may apply to volunteer activities, waivers, releases, minors, background checks, privacy, transportation, mandated reporting, charitable immunity, volunteer immunity, dispute resolution, or other matters.
2. Nothing in this Agreement waives any right, claim, protection, or obligation that cannot be waived under applicable state law.
3. Any waiver, release, medical consent, media consent, or parent/guardian consent involving a minor applies only to the extent permitted by applicable state law.
4. If I serve with minors, vulnerable persons, transportation, food service, or other sensitive roles, I Love Sai may require additional screening, training, consent, or documentation as required or permitted by applicable state law.
5. This Agreement and any state-specific notice should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before I Love Sai relies on it for state-specific legal compliance.

21. Dispute Resolution
The parties agree to first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through informal discussion.
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, the parties agree to participate in nonbinding mediation in New Jersey before filing a lawsuit, unless emergency relief, child-safety reporting, insurance requirements, law enforcement reporting, or applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in this section limits I Love Sai's right or obligation to report suspected abuse, misconduct, threats, crimes, or legal violations to appropriate authorities.

22. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Any invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, lawful, and enforceable, if permitted by law.

23. Electronic Acknowledgment
I agree that selecting "Yes, I acknowledge and agree" in the online volunteer registration form is intended to have the same legal effect as my signature to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I consent to I Love Sai maintaining this Agreement and my volunteer records electronically.
I agree that electronic records, timestamps, form submissions, acknowledgment selections, and stored copies may be used as evidence of my agreement.

24. Adult Volunteer Acknowledgment
By selecting "Yes, I acknowledge and agree" below, I confirm that: (1) I have read this Agreement; (2) I understand its terms; (3) I have had the opportunity to ask questions; (4) I am volunteering voluntarily; (5) I understand that I am giving up certain legal rights to the fullest extent permitted by law; (6) I agree to the waiver, release, consent, privacy, media, conduct, confidentiality, background check, transportation, governing law, dispute resolution, and state-specific provisions in this Agreement; and (7) I agree to be bound by this Agreement.

25. Parent or Legal Guardian Consent for Minor Volunteer
If the volunteer is under eighteen years of age, a parent or legal guardian must complete the additional section below and select "Yes, I acknowledge and agree as parent/legal guardian," confirming that: (1) they are the parent or legal guardian of the minor volunteer; (2) they consent to the minor's participation as a volunteer with I Love Sai; (3) they have read and understand this Agreement; (4) they agree to this Agreement on behalf of themselves and the minor to the fullest extent permitted by law; (5) they understand that some states limit or prohibit certain waivers or releases involving minors; (6) they consent to emergency medical assistance for the minor if reasonably necessary; (7) they consent to I Love Sai collecting and using the minor's information for volunteer administration, safety, communication, legal compliance, and nonprofit operations; and (8) they agree that the minor must follow I Love Sai's code of conduct, child-safety rules, supervision requirements, and volunteer policies.

26. Minor Media Consent
A parent or legal guardian of a minor volunteer selects one option below: consenting to I Love Sai using the minor's name, image, likeness, voice, and participation for nonprofit, charitable, educational, religious, spiritual, training, archival, promotional, fundraising, website, newsletter, and social media purposes; or declining nonessential such use, except where incidental, unavoidable, legally required, or necessary for safety, identification, internal records, or event administration.

27. Attorney Review Notice
This Agreement is intended as a general volunteer registration, waiver, release, consent, and acknowledgment document for I Love Sai. It should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before use.
Counsel should specifically review state-law requirements involving volunteer waivers, minor waivers, parental consent, charitable immunity, volunteer immunity, background checks, child-abuse reporting, youth-serving organizations, transportation, food service, data privacy, media releases, electronic signatures, indemnification, mediation, venue, and governing law.
